How to flash the SAMSUNG GALAXY Y (GT-S5360) with single file(fully tested and working) :

1.Download the single firmware file “S5360xxxxx_S5360xxxxxx_xxx.zip” and

Only extract one file and that is

   “S5360xxxxx_S5360xxxxxx_S5360xxxxx_HOME.tar.md5”

2.Now put this extracted file in a separate folder.

3.Now rename the extracted file as

“S5360xxxxx_S5360xxxxxx_S5360xxxxx_HOME.tar”

That is we have now removed the “.md5” extension.

4.Now install Winzip software(it is recommended to use winzip only)

No other softwares seem to work perfectly.

5.Open the above file with winzip and extract all the files in it.

The following files will be extracted:

a)    param.lfs

b)   csc.rfs

c)    BcmCP.img

d)   boot.img

e)   system.img

f)     sbl.bin

6.Now remove “S5360xxxxx_S5360xxxxxx_S5360xxxxx_HOME.tar” file as

It is of no use now.

7.Now download the software “IZArc” that we will use to convert .zip archieves

Into .tar ones.

8.Now first convert the above extracted file in single zip packages with zero

   Compression(important) with the following names:

Zip package File to put in
CSC.zip csc.rfs
MODEM.zip BcmCP.img
PDA.zip sbl.bin

boot.img

system.img

param.lfs

9.Now as you have done it successfully,

Using IZArc now,convert CSC.zip, MODEM.zip, PDA.zip into

CSC.tar, MODEM.tar, PDA.tar.

10.Now download the “Odin3 v1.85” and “totoro_0623.pit”.

11.Put odin3.exe, totoro_0623.pit, and the above converted files CSC.tar,

MODEM.tar, PDA.tar in the same folder.

12.Open odin.exe now.

13.Put the above file under the following buttons:

Button File
PIT totoro_0623.pit
BOOTLOADER <leave empty>
PDA PDA.tar
PHONE MODEM.tar
CSC CSC.tar

14.Check all the three checkboxes Re-partition, Autoreboot and F.Reset time.

15.Open your galaxy Y in download mode using “VOLUME DOWN

     KEY+MENU+POWER KEY”.

(first wipe/clear the cache and data through recovery mode)

16.Press VOLUME UP to confirm and continue.

17.Now connect it to computer via USB cable.

18.As soon Odin recognize your device as COM.XX, press start.

19.Wait 1-2 minute and remove the cable when done successfully.

20.Best of luck.

I flashed my galaxy y with the same method and here is the output of odin:
